“Thousands of people go to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.” – Mary, The Twelve Dates of Christmas
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade has a long tradition in the United States. This year will mark its 86th year. While Theatre B hasn’t been doing Christmas shows for as long as the Macy’s parade has been around, it has become a tradition for Fargo theatregoers. I would like to take this time to invite you to start – or in some cases, continue – a tradition with your family and friends. Before you venture out in the midnight air to shop for those great Black Friday deals, come join us at Theatre B for the kickoff of the Holiday Season with our holiday show, The Twelve Dates of Christmas.
Twelve Dates is a very funny show that I am thankful for the opportunity to work on. Since October, I have had the pleasure of working with an amazing group of people. My job as director has been an easy one. I have been able to sit back and watch three talented actresses entertain me for over a month. I have been very selfish, not sharing them with you. But, since it is the holidays and I am in the giving mood, I would like to share with you the gift they have given me: an evening of entertainment.
Even if you categorize yourself as someone who doesn’t really “get into the holidays” I think you will find this show enjoyable. Having worked retail for the past 14 years (Wow, has it been that long?), I know my holiday spirit isn’t as bright as it used to be. Watching this show has re-ignited that warmth. I may even put up a tree this year (no promises!).
Before I go to work at 11PM Thanksgiving Night, I hope to see you at Theatre B. I know I am going to want that kick-start of Holiday Warmth before I brave the 13-hour shift of Black Friday shoppers. Even if you can’t make it to opening night, there are other opportunities to catch the show. Twelve Dates runs Thursdays-Saturdays November 22-December 29. Tickets can be purchased by calling the box office at 701-729-8880 or by clicking here.
