So, a lot has happened this year and we’re sure you can relate…2023 has been filled with hilarious highs, laughable lows, and- more than anything- transition!
LEADERSHIP: Longtime Executive Director Carrie Wintersteen’s 20-year tenure came to an end in May (round of applause for Carrie!). After a national search, Colt Neidhardt has joined our staff as Executive Director (round of applause for Colt!).
5 LESBIANS EATING A QUICHE: Our first production of the season brought audiences into a world of radical queer joy and unexpected twists. This fast-paced comedy captivated crowds and helped us jumpstart our theme for the year: Connection.
Fresh off 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche, one of our most-attended productions to date, the Ensemble known for Theatre for the BRAVE and CURIOUS made – perhaps – its bravest move yet by restructuring its core Ensemble of theatre artists…
NEW STRUCTURE: Our Ensemble has adopted a new leadership structure and created committees, including Artistic Integrity and Programming & New Works. Through these committees, we plan on developing new plays and classes while also taking time to reflect on our internal processes and goals as an organization.
NEW FRIENDS: We have expanded our Ensemble to welcome in a new cohort of fantastically talented folks including Matthew Dryburgh, Scott Ecker, Rachel Geinert, and Alex Kleven. Our Board is also thrilled to welcome new members, Chelsea Brown and Forrest Steinhoff.
UP NEXT: Our intrepid ensemble is more invigorated than ever. Be sure to join us this holiday season for the World Premiere of Ginna Hoben’s play, Decked’ as well as Lobby Hero; This Random World; and Winnie The Pooh, our Adaptive Theatre collaboration with HOPE, Inc. and Concordia College.
Theatre B may look a little different, but the mission remains unchanged: to ignite conversations that transform our community through intimate and courageous stories. If you believe in this mission as we do, we ask for your support. Please join us in our year-end campaign to raise $20,000 to ensure Season 21 is our greatest yet!
