The day has finally arrived – Gruesome Playground Injuries opens tonight at 7:30 p.m.!
The play is a series of vignettes, focusing on the relationship of two quirky individuals – from the moment they meet as wounded eight-year olds to the succeeding moments they become reunited within the next thirty years.
The characters’ injuries, both internal and external, enable them to develop a bond so powerful we, as viewers, will be unlikely to escape the emotions that will flood our hearts.
Taylor Schatz (Doug) and Christina Johnson (Kayleen) are mesmerizing at portraying the raw emotions their characters experience, including the most powerful – vulnerability. Audiences can expect to experience the same highs and lows that will unfold on the stage.
The show will run every Thursday – Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. until Feb. 22. There will also be a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Feb. 16 and an ASL-interpreted performance on Saturday, Feb. 8.
