BIRDS OF NORTH AMERICA by Anna Ouyang Moench

“John and Caitlyn have created a tradition together: birdwatching. For many of us that kind of tradition is hunting or Black Friday shopping or making Christmas cookies. Not the big holiday gala kind of tradition, but these are traditions, nonetheless. Within the tradition, we feel safe to speak and expect to be heard. Sometimes our minds also create a persona of the other person, assigning them traits and depth beyond who they really are. This father and daughter are striving to be authentic with each other, but authenticity leads to vulnerability, and the vulnerability is where the true story lies.” – Jean Wilhelmi, Production Director of “Birds of North America” at Theatre B

ZACH WETZEL, BroadwayWorld:
BIRDS OF NORTH AMERICA is a gift to the theatre community. There is something special about BIRDS OF NORTH AMERICA. It is a story about love, loss, change, hope, and family. Every line of dialogue matters and not a second is wasted. It does not overstay its welcome and leaves you with lots to ponder after the final moments.
